Frequently asked questions

REGISTRATION

  • LGBTQ Outdoorfest is created by and for members of the LGBTQIA+ community — including people of all identities and expressions who want to connect, explore, and grow in an affirming space. Partners and allies who share our values of inclusion and respect are also welcome. Our goal is to create a community where everyone feels seen, celebrated, and supported.

  • Yes! We get it — LGBTQ Outdoorfest isn’t exactly cheap. To make this the best experience possible, every dollar goes back into creating incredible workshops, activities, and community.

The good news is thanks to our amazing sponsors, we offer as many scholarships as we can. They’re available on a first-come, first-serve basis and range from 50% to 100% depending on needs.

Send us an email to learn more.

  • The LGBTQ Outdoorfest team sends an email that provides information, what to expect, outline, next steps, and gets you ready for an amazing experience!

  • Simply put, no. We know, it is not the happiest of answers, but as soon as registration is complete, our team starts putting hard work and recourses toward you attending. Sometimes this means purchases and resources are made in which we can’t get our money back if you do not attend. The good news, any left over funds from deposits helps with additional scholarships!

  • As mentioned, the deposit is nonrefundable. Additional payments are refundable up until 60 days before the event. Can’t make it? No problem — you can transfer your ticket to someone else, and we’re happy to help connect you with someone who can use it if you’d like!

  • Yes! In addition to securing the best price, you’ll get exclusive 24-hour early access to sign up for workshops.

workshops & activties

  • Early bird registrants get access to the signup form 30 days before the event, while all other attendees gain access 24 hours later.

  • About 30 days before the event, we’ll email you a workshop signup form. To get the best chance at your preferred workshops, be sure to register as soon as it arrives!

  • Unfortunately no. There are actually too many workshops for one person to take all of them. There are four workshop time slots and the most campers can attend is four.

  • Nope. Some of the workshops have limited availability due to equipment and supplies. Joining a workshop without signing up can make it difficult for the instructor and takes away from the experience of other campers.
